The Power of Chai Rotel
on Lag B’Omer

Why Chai Rotel with Yeshuos Rashbi?

Because it doesn’t get bigger — or more lechavod Rashbi — than this.

Each year, Yeshuos Rashbi is mechabed thousands with food and Chai Rotel at the biggest Seudah by the kever. It’s not just a segulah — it’s a massive public kiddush Hashem and an expression of Klal Yisrael’s love for Rashbi.

What is Chai Rotel?

Chai” = 18
Rotel” = A liquid measurement (about 3 liters)
Chai Rotel = 54 liters of liquid, traditionally given out in Meron on Lag B’Omer in honor of Rebbe Shimon Bar Yochai

It’s not just a minhag. It’s a powerful segulah — endorsed by gedolei Yisrael for hundreds of years.

Why Donate?

It’s more than a drink—it’s a segulah. The simcha it brings to Meron opens heavenly gates. For years, Yidden have seen yeshuos in:

Shidduchim

Refuah

Parnassah

Children

Peace in the home

Success in Torah

“Many tzaddikim, including the Toldos Aharon Rebbe, praised the minhag of Chai Rotel, saying it brings yeshuos ‘k’min hag shamayim.’”

The Ta’amei HaMinhagim says that countless people that had difficulty having children, finding a shidduch, recovering from an illness or attaining a livelihood were successful only after they donated “chai rotel” for the Lag B’omer celebrations in Meron. Rav Ovadia M’Bartenura and the Sh’loh Hakadosh also confirm the success of donating to increase the simcha of Lag B’omer in Meron.

Why Chai Rotel? Why Lag B’Omer?

On the day of his passing, Rashbi revealed the deepest secrets of the Torah, and his neshamah left this world with light, joy, and holiness.

The Zohar (Ha’azinu 296b) records that a heavenly voice declared:

“Come and celebrate the Hilulah of Rashbi!”

It became a day of simcha, and tzaddikim taught:
Whoever brings simcha on Rashbi’s day — will receive simcha in their life.

How to Fulfill the Segulah:

You can fulfill the mitzvah through Yeshuos Rashbi. We distribute it on your behalf, with your name, on Lag B’Omer—right at the kever.
